Re: Question of the Week (5/22 - 5/28) -- Favorite Dessert

Hmmm, my favorite dessert . . . I'd have to select two: Pocky and millefeuille. Go me. XD I have varied tastes.

Re: Create a PARADOX commercial

[SCENE: Paradox University, somewhere on the campus grounds. A news reporter, wearing the journalism-standard overcoat and pants, holds a microphone as he speaks towards the camera. People strolling nearby pay no attention to him. The music introducing the report is classical stuff, reminiscent of t...

Re: Question of the Week (April 3rd - 9th) -- Cartoon Character

Hmmm, there are so many to choose from. Let me think . . . Firstly, there's Ginko from Mushi-shi. He's a mysterious character with the ability to see mushi , beings in touch with the essence of life. His travels through Japan make him an interesting character overall. I must give props to Spike Spie...

Re: Create a PARADOX the musical ALBUM !!

And now, for your listening pleasure, Paradox proudly presents the newest album to go gold on the Whatever Charts in the Olavi-Mikkonen Nebula (or maybe the neighboring Z'Nuff Star Cluster), "The Wessonian Collection"! This album includes popular songs from across the musical spectrum. Songs include...

Re: Film Night!

Exiting the Factory depicts what is described in the title. Also known by its French name La sortie des usines Lumière , Exiting the Factory shows people leaving the Lumière studio; this would only be a mere curiosity, if it were not for the fact that this film was the first ever to be broadcast to...

I'll also include one of the earliest film advertisements ever recorded: a 1897 commercial for Admiral Cigarettes.

Re: Film Night!

To celebrate the birthday of Robert Harron, I'll feature perhaps most prominent feature film turn, along with another lesser-known film from the Hannon library. 1. Intolerance : Harron portrays the Boy in the Modern Story segment of this Griffith film. 2. Judith of Bethulia : Here, Hannon plays Nath...

Re: Film Night!

Since I haven't posted here in two months, let me revive the thread with The Bat. Based on a hit 1920 Broadway play, the director remade the film in 1930 as The Bat Whispers. That remake inspire DC Comics' Bob Kane to create Batman.

Re: Outfit idea, possible new location

Now I like your idea of a world that references or, to a point, parodies Earth. But then again, all of this probably takes in a small place(well right now, it's all taking place just around PU) Maybe the main map would have different places that sort of as a pseudo-Chinatown? Different parts of the...

Re: Outfit idea, possible new location

Stats determined by a formula? That's perfectly reasonable, so I'll exclude stat improvements in subsequent write-ups. Either case, I'll expand on the idea when I can. Here's a non-combat description, along with a few item explanations. Tricorner Hat Type: Hat Defense: 15 Autosell value: (open for d...

Re: Outfit idea, possible new location

Outfit idea, possible new location

Considering I'm fairly new here, you can take my ideas at your discretion. Still, I have two suggestions for game content. As the thread title explain (in considerable detail, no doubt), one involves the implementation of a new outfit, and the other an entirely new location. The Itinerant ...

Re: Film Night!

Oh, dear - I distinctly remember the old Little Shop of Horrors film. The final scene is one the most bizarre in cinematic history. XD Either case, I'll update this thread, with . . . The Passion of Joan of Arc : Restored in 1985 (according to the helpful placard prefacing the film), The Passion of ...

I'm glad you enjoyed them buffet-san. You might like a few more Chaplin films, then: 1. Kid Auto Races at Venice , released the same year as Making a Living , introduces his famous Tramp character. The character is never referred to by name in any of his appearances, but the classic 1925 film The Go...

Film Night!

Acting upon the advise of my Raharu Superior (FLCL reference), I've decided to share a few films from the vast Internet archive. Bear with me here, as it might be a little dusty. Anyway, I have a few films lined up for now: 1. Gertie the Dinosaur 2. The New Janitor 3. Making a Living 4. Th...
