Re: Name the Mall - 1,500,000 Moolah prize pool
Time to put this thing to rest. There were a heap of awesome entries here, and choosing a winner was particularly difficult. With few exceptions, the judges voted for a bunch of different stuff, and in the end we had to get a fourth judge to split the difference. In the end, entries were awarded poi...

Wow, some more great entries for sure. I definitely have some favourites, and it looks like picking a winner is going to be a bit on the tricky side. Despite the relatively successful public launch, new player registrations are a little on the slow side, and I'd love to see a lot more players. Thanks for that Ash. As discussed, I had a good look at the code and tested it out, and haven't been able to replicate it or identify the problem. I suspect a couple of things, however: 1. It's not just the jogging outfit. Chances are good that if there's a bug in the way the "you have found a new o...

This forum exists so that players can post information about contests they may feel like running. A well-run contest can be a lot of fun for everyone involved. Pay more attention to your stats. :) Seriously, resting is a lot like real life - you CAN rest any time you like, but if you're not tired, then you won't get any benefit from it. There is no way to do that, and there won't be one. Imagine what would happen when we DO have tens/hundreds of users logged on.... *shudder*
In the short term, you can always use the "Logged on users" thing from the charpane and just do a /whois on each.

Re: No more chat?
I have my suspicions that the right-click menu I added yesterday isn't particularly efficient and is likely to create memory leakage and slowness, particularly if there's a lot of chat in the window. I don't think that has anything to do with what you saw, Deo, that sounds more like more stupid lag ...

Re: WOWSERS
I'm certain this isn't a bug as such, it's a symptom of lag and asynchronous processing - ie. you click on X but the game is still processing a previous click on Y, so that pops up, and then you click on Z, and Y pops up - which is confusing but not an actual bug. Some day we may be able to afford t...

This is indeed not a bug. You are allowed 5 cave-ins per permit, not per day. Token gear isn't meant to be "uber", it's basically there to let someone effectively equip a slightly-reduced power token in every slot, and makes them look shiny. There will be better items available, and bear in mind that only people who were lucky enough to get alpha launch bags and 2007 christma...
