Wiki Maintenance and Reliability

Just a note from the Paradox dev team with regard to the Wiki that everyone needs to remember.

While this (http://www.paradoxwiki.com) is the officially-supported Wiki, it is NOT created or maintained by the Paradox dev team. It is owned by Spiff, and is fully player maintained, which means it relies on players to make sure it's up-to-date and accurate.

Sometimes, the Wiki contains information that's slightly inaccurate, subject to opinion, or just plain wrong. Fair enough too. Wiki editors don't have complete access to the game's code, so can only make their best guess based on what they see. However, it doesn't need to stay wrong.

If you find something in the Wiki that's not right, please remember that the game is definitive, and it's probably the Wiki that's incorrect. Whatever you do, don't report a bug to the dev team, because we won't be fixing the game to make it like the Wiki says it is. Instead, feel free to fix the problem and make the Wiki correct for everyone.

Similarly, the game can change at any time and just because something was correct yesterday doesn't necessarily mean it is today. If something changes, the Wiki may need updating, and you're probably welcome to update it whenever you like.

Obviously, this is all subject to such rules as Spiff and her team may see fit to impose, so make sure you familiarise yourself with the rules of Wiki editing before you change anything on there. Trust me, Spiff (the Wikinatrix) wields a pretty big whip. You probably don't want to be on the end of it.
