Only recently started getting these where whenever i click on a wiki page i get a new window opening with an ad in it.... any way to get rid of these as they are annoying the hell out of me atm as i'm using the wiki quite a bit? And before you ask, yes I do have a pop-up blocker and no it's not blocking these

let me see what i can do.

Just for some alternate input, I disabled Firefox's native pop-up blocker, disabled the AdBlock Plus add-on, and disabled NoScript and began clicking around the wiki. No pop-ups at all. So I have two possible solutions:

1. Spiff fixed the problem, or
2. You may have some malware on your computer.

Well, that's all I've got for now. Move along.

Heh, might be that. I have been using my old computer which doesn't have internet protection so if Spiff can't find a problem thenit may be that. I didn't know malware could do that

Spiff has no access to the Wiki backend, so it's highly unlikely she'll be able to fix anything much at all. It's just Bidvertiser though, so it's pretty common and bog-standard and your popup-blocker SHOULD be able to block it... unless bidvertiser's found some smartarse, clever way of getting around popup blockers. In which case... there's going to be more than just the Paradox wiki we all need to worry about.

Sigh.

Lol guys when i saw this post i went in to BidVertiser and yes disabled the popups . i had them enabled just to maybe pick up some clicks , but seeing as how it annoyed me and others i turned it off. sorry for the delayed response let me know if its still happening please.

Bad Spiff! I wonder what Bidvertiser is doing that gets around popup blockers. Bastards.
