Question of the Week (March 20 - March 26) -- Favorite Album
This week's question: What is your favorite album? The one that you love most songs and the songs that may not totally grab you, you still do not feel that you need to skip altogether.
For me, the one that comes to mind right aways is Life in Cartoon Motion by Mika. Awesome, upbeat songs. And what a talented man!

My favorite album is Abbey Road by the Beatles.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that during a recent trip to Las Vegas, I saw Cirque de Soleil LOVE. It's a Cirque show based on the music of the Beatles and it was amazing!

The first CD I have ever owned (which I actually bought before I even owned a CD player!) was, is, and always will be my most coveted album: Skid Row's Slave to the Grind. I love every song on it from start to finish, and I could never get tired of hearing one single song on the album. I always used to tell people if I was being sent to be stranded on a deserted island for the remainder of my life and could only bring one studio recorded album (and a means to play it indefinitely), that would be it. The only truly downside to the album was the edited version, which contained the song "Beggar's Day" instead of the moderately offensive "Get the Fuck Out" on the original. If only there were a version of that album that included both of those songs; but since there isn't, I would have a very difficult time deciding between the two.

I have several albums I really like, but I always come back to "The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast", a 1970s concept album by "Roger Glover and Guests". That's Deep Purple's Roger Glover, and I'd suggest anyone over the age of 30 would be familiar with the song "Love is All" off the album, and featuring the vocals of Ronnie James Dio. Not really sure WHY it appeals to me, but it's an album I get out on a regular basis so there must be something there, even if the demo tracks are fairly nasty.

one of my first cd (that I actually bought) was Shaggy's Hotshot. And to this day, every song brings back memories cuz I used to listen to this cd on continuous loop as I walked everywhere when I was a youngin' in high school ;P nowadays I listen to the Beatles if I listen to any music at all... not sure which albums all the songs are from as I have a playlist that has most of their songs on it

I really need to check out some of these albums! I love The Beatles and Queen. I am not sure of some of the others, but I have definitely heard of all of the artists mentioned , even if I do not know any songs off the top of my head.
When I was around 10, I loved listening to the Grease Soundtrack
As a teen, my most played records were Twisted Sister: Stay Hungry, and Chicago: 17
I am surprised that they never got scratched as much as I listened to them!
My first CD was George Michael: Faith.
Thanks for sharing everyone!

Paul Simon's Graceland is definitely worth a listen too. Oh, and Metallica's Master of Puppets, Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell 1, 2 and 3, and Listen Like Thieves by INXS.

Pink Floyd's, "Dark Side of the Moon" or "Animals" are both up near the top of my all-time faves. And it's just not fair to ask this question. I have at least 50 favorite albums of all time.

I was going to mention Dark Side, but decided it was too obvious, like the Beatles White Album or Neil Diamond's Hot August Night.

Another of my favorite albums is Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. It was probably the first album I ever listened to (on vinyl), and later it was the first CD I bought.

Going through CDs, this week and I discovered one that I cannot believe I forgot to mention:
John Fogerty's Centerfield. Love that one! I used to know the rhythm of the drum solo part in Vanz Kant Danz and I would pound my drumsticks on the bed when I listened. Aw, memories!
