Question of the Week (5/22 - 5/28) -- Favorite Dessert
Here is a way to get to know one another a bit without getting too personal or taking too much time. I will ask a new question every Sunday. Post your response to the question and visit again throughout the week to comment on others’ responses as well.
To get things started, I will always answer the question when I post.
Please feel free to send me a pmail with suggestions on future questions of the week. I have received a few suggestions already. Thanks!
All players that answer the question will get a small gift of thanks from me. At the least: a hug, some food items, and some drink items.

Here is this week's question:
What is your favorite dessert (s)?
My absolute favorite dessert is cherry pie! It is not something I have very often, but boy oh boy is it yummy!
I admit that my hubby makes a delicious pecan pie that is a close second.
When I was growing up, my mom frequently made German chocolate cakes and pineapple upside down cakes as well. Those were pretty tasty too.
I do stick with cherry pie being my favorite and at the same time acknowledge that there are some other scrumptious desserts that I would not turn down. (I also admit that I had to edit this since I had written "yummy" way too many times!)
Looking forward to hearing from the rest of you! (feel free to add recipes if you have a great dessert recipe)

Probably those cinnamon rolls at Ci-Cis. They really taste great.

Hmmm, my favorite dessert . . . I'd have to select two: Pocky and millefeuille. Go me. XD I have varied tastes.

Pumpkin Pie when gobb isn't around, when gobb is around I tend to just stare at the pumpkins.
I also like those hand-sized fruit pies that companies like Merita Bread make. Especially the chocolate filled and cherry filled ones. you can even microwave them to get them warm. yum. Oh oh apple one is amazing warm.

This reminds me of the time I really inserted my foot in my mouth regarding dessert! I was at a friend's for Easter. Somehow we got talking about pies and I mentioned that I enjoy pumpkin pie, but it needs to be near Thanksgiving and Christmas for it to really hit the spot. Yeah, that is what SHE ended up bringing for dessert for Easter. Luckily for me, she is a great friend and did not tease me about it.
Pumpkin Pie MUST have whipped cream on it. The kind you squirt, not cool whip that you spoon out. Boy oh boy am I picky!

IDK why so many people want it for thanksgiving. I think that was just a tradition because the pumpkins were left over from halloween. xD

My wife thoroughly enjoys Sweet Potatoe Pie, which I cannot stand, but she agrees it MUST have whipped cream from a can... lol

see, I like my sweet potato pie with mini marshmellows and cinnamon.

Either pumpkin pie or pecan pie, both obviously requiring whipped cream from the can. Also oreo pie is very close, but not quite on the same level. And that canned whipped cream straight from the can is pretty damn good too

Tiramisu can be really good, for sure! One of the worst tasting tiramisus that I have ever had was actually in Italy. What a disappointment!
I have fairly recently discovered creme brulee, which I also find quite tasty.
And I agree that canned whip cream straight from the can is delicious, even though it is a big no-no to eat it that way!
Great responses so far! Thanks everyone!

Mmm... dessert...
Well, I do not have much of a sweet tooth at all, so I'd have to say that my favorite dessert would be some variety of fruit or yogurt, possibly a combination of those two, or some sort of simple ice cream or sorbet.
Or a nummy pastry, like an apple fritter. Microwaved for about 30 seconds with a pat of butter. Or a bavarian cream bismark if I'm feeling particularly frisky.
But I'd be at least as likely to skip dessert entirely, and eat another serving of potatoes instead (delicious mash taters, grool), because I'm just weird that way.

Not my favorite dessert, but I bought a strawberry icee float today, and it was yummy. Unfortunately, half of it was donated to the Kmart parking lot! What I had was good though.
