I lurk more often than I post on the forums, but I promise to post more often. :) I'm still here, and I'm glad to see you all, although not in the game. (Timing is everything...) . Raga, I just came home thru your neck of the woods. Beautiful fall colors!!

Soda wanted me to post that he is down and out, due to a short fall down the stairs yesterday, wrenching his back and knee, so he will not be on the radio today. He is currently unconscious on pain medication, and that he will try to be on Monday.

And he sends an almost drunken like hello to Lord Cretin and Sallyfox

For a second there it sounded like Soda hit his head so hard he was speaking in the third person. jupider thought that was a little weird. And pretentious.

LordCretin shaves The Fett hairless, then tattoos startled eyebrows across his forehead, before assuming it's OK to feed his meds to the cat.
No, no... I keep getting this wrong lately. He wishes Soda a speedy recovery and good luck in reining in those multiple personalities.
/Me waves a hello to the disembodied voice.

I don't always catch his show, But when I do, we have fun!

Still twinging here and there, but I will be on later for my show. Cretin, if it would settle my cats down in the middle of the night, I would feed them my pain meds, but knowing my luck, it would wire them worse :)

Hi everyone! I'm sorry to have been so absent. I can't promise anything very different, yet, though, so I hope I'll catch someone in chat once in a while. I'm on at the end of the Paradox day, usually, and don't get into chat unless I see someone else is. Love you all, whether I see you or not!

I am soooo done with ToG. The PTMBGs tailor everything to suit the needs of the veteran power-players and the new and casual players (like myself) are left to scrape up every resource available and micromanage our turns to the point of monotony just so we can attempt to lick the shoes of those that help Jick pay for his gold-plated Ferrari.

lol Sally. You called him "Dale." You must not have ever seen Doctor Who. Or you read too fast. Or both.

Anyway, "Dale," don't listen to Sally (she's a few fries short of a Happy Meal anyway) this is a perfectly acceptable place to look for answers to your questions.

To answer your questions, there is only you when you're logged on because the game is currently in a state of hiatus as the developer is currently AWOL. There is a small group of a dozen or so of us dedicated players clinging to the hope that one day Gobberwart shall return in full glory to continue development of Beta. So during this time of advent, we try to catch each other in passing, have some fun in chat, and generally try to say funny/stupid things to get quoted. Being a new player, there is LOTS to discover and do even though the game is not being updated. HAVE FUN!

Yes, you do get turns every day. Watch the in-game time; at 12:00 midnight you should get more (we call it "Intermission"). Eat and drink consumables to gain more and there are a select few items out there that can give you a few extra turns during Intermission.

And other than donating, no, there really is no other way to get a token. Unless someone has a contest where you could win one or you buy one from the player stores (currently, the cheapest one is 10,000,000 Moolah, though, so it'll take a little time to get that one ;)

As for your last question, well, that's not really a question. But it's worth noting that paradoxes CAN be quite confusing, so I think you'll be just fine.

Welcome to Paradox! Hope to see you again soon!

Nearly 3 pm on the last day of this year.

Again, in mah little kitchen...............

Im not searching for something profound to say, just something that would encapsulate the year past. And admittedly, this hasnt been the best year for paradox unfortunately, but we can be thankful for the fact that the site is still running and the people are still dropping in.........

So I tend to look to the future.........

Looking at the coming year, I ponder, at this time next year will we all be here? (as a site/community) I dont know........ but hope so. Given that the site has survived for so long, and that the community core here is sooo tenacious (did I spell that right?), Im inclinde to think so....... however, thats just an educated optimistic guess. (but then, I have faith in Gobb...)

And with a very hot summer predicted here in australia, Im hoping the heat will drive Gobb back to the desk with the A/C ":P (and that fairies dump slave labour developers in his lap to join Raggy)

Anyhoo.........

I will still come here daily (standard practice for mods ":P), do mah forum/site and log checks. I will still come here with the hope of bumping into friends and new peoples.......I know there are people here that have the same attitude ( and then some!) And that is why I have hope for the paradox year ahead..... :D

Im thinking dearly of you all, and for many hours today, I will raise my glass many times...... Yeah, of course I will ponder R/L stuff too, but my mind will always wander to this place and the dear people in it........

Happy, safe and wild new year paracites!! xoxoxo

LordCretin runs through the common room in his New Year's diaper and lamp shade.
He skids to a stop by the sofa, throws back a whisky and raises a toast to absent friends:

In their absence grace to told
That their grace on us was bold!

Happy New Years from Wales!

Not sure how many more posts I will be making. Is Paradox even still alive? No one wants to say it, but I'm not sure I see the point, really, not anymore, Gobb is MIA, has been for a long time. I know real life does wonders on things, but even a simple post to say 'Hey, I'm still alive, the game is too, but just too busy with real life to do much, hang in there and I'll keep you posted.' would be appreciated, but not even that has been mentioned. I love you guys, I love the company, but this is not doing anything. No one is ever around anymore, except when no one else is on, sometimes we catch one person, but then again, most people log on, do turns and poof, they are gone. So I am Djing shortly, but I most likely will not be in chat here, but i will be in RFX Chat, so check there if you want to find me.

I can't say I disagree with you, Soda, but seeing as how I don't DJ, just logging on every couple of days isn't too much of a hassle for me on a game that is basically abandoned. But I do plan on continuing to play until the inevitable "404 Not Found" or "The domain www.paradoxthemusical.com is for sale. Click here to purchase" link. It's just too bad the forums and wiki are on the same server as the game, which means when that happens, all contact with you all will be permanently severed... :( And if I recall, doesn't Gobb also host Planet RFX?

I hear you too.

I'm still alive, and I haven't forgotten about any of you. I'm just quiet because I just don't know what to say at the moment.

I live in hope that one day I'll wake up and suddenly have the time, energy, motivation and help I need to get some meaningful work completed on Paradox. Right now though, it's all I can do to just make sure the bill gets paid each month, and unfortunately I can't afford to keep doing that for much longer.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that so long as there is a www.paradoxthemusical.com, there's still some hope. If that ever changes, you'll know I've completely given up.

For now, here's a belated Happy New Year to you all and your loved ones. Hopefully we'll be able to catch up under happier circumstances in the not too distant future.

Good enough for me........ thanks Gobby :D

I think that straight forward answer is what the doctor ordered........ I can cope with that.

Doesnt mean Im thrilled, BUT, it settles mah soul. I know you could have easily tossed it in a year ago or more..................

HOWEVER.........

A "hi" every now and then would really help.......... even though development has stalled, you are still the "centre piece" of the game........ and one of the reasons I and others keep coming back. We all hate real life and need your pearls of bullshit to make us smile and keep going......... a post once every week or so would be a real boost (everyone here has had a gutful of my trivial blatherings)

Thanks again 8)

Yes, thank you Gobb, it's good to see you. Even if at the moment you don't feel like meaningful work on Paradox, just popping in and saying 'G'day' is good enough, it gives us hope that things will kick off again. This is like my online family, all of you guys are, I'm just never getting to see anyone anymore, hardly. I guess what I am trying to say it, I love you guys and I miss the hell out of you, ALL of you.

Pssst! Hey Gobb...
You wanna hear a joke?
It use to exist in Ralph's kingdom, in the early days, before he had to clean the place up a bit. It's sick and you're one sick, sick Aussie, if you ask to see this joke.
You understand? I'm some kinda of dark, decrepit, dank disease, just for knowing it. If you want to be disturbed... or worse, not disturbed, send me a private message (as far as I'm aware, that can only be done in-game - if you can do so in the forums, that's cool too)
Just remember - once you ask, the cretinous one offers no appologies for answering your querry...

And that hasnt really worked...............

The love for you here is real and long lasting.......... even after a looong stall.

Ive learned that most definately, that I dont have the star power, personality or skills to run this site outright. Even with Jazzy and the great mods we have (and still have), I cant draw people like your persona does..........its not a fault of mine, just a fact........

You dont really have to "produce", you just have to be part of......................we wont go away. We will hold on untill you dont. And over and above any post you have made, I KNOW you want paradox to live, and in knowing that, here I stand.

If you made regular appearances, I KNOW traffic would increase within the week......... dramaticly (or however its spelt) I know that yeah, you would be inundated with "site" questions (future.direction, etc), but that would be short lived.

We ARE a family, but YOU are the head (job)........ we need leadership towards rudeness and trivia UNTILL the the day that you, pinky and other suckers are in a position to develop :D

This is not a complaint, merely an opinion. Come back to the fold and lead................ we all are still where you were a few years ago Gobb

Love from everyone xoxox

WHAT!?!?!

You mean all this time I though you had cancer, were paralyzed in a car wreck, or simply walked away because you got tired of us nagging you to release Beta, and in reality it was just because you were EMBARRASSED!?!?!?

Do you realize at one point I tried Googling your name in Australian newspapers to see if you had an OBITUARY!?!?

Gobb, I don't care if you NEVER release Beta. I don't care if you NEVER make any updates to the game ever again! Your presence in the game and community is the number one thing you can offer to us Paracites! Start with that and the rest will fall into place. ;)

(At least now I can stop wearing this stupid black armband...)
