not-so-frequently asked questions

Unread post by jimmyBUFFET » Thu Jul 23, 2009 11:09 am

Any questions about life, the universe, or anything? Ask them here, so long as they're not related to the game. Think of it as Yahoo! Answers, personal acquaintances edition. I'll start!

By the way, this is the proper thread in which to ANSWER these questions, as well.

There's a set of new commercials for the Prius (which is a car), and I like the song in the background...trouble is, I have no idea what its called or who sings it. Does anyone have the resources to find this information?

There are actually two songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7vI-L4Lfmc which is "Fun" by Petra Haden (who i assume sings the other one as well, and this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tq4nrmnqY9o

Thanks!

A: Yes, you need to go to the hospital, and they'll keep you "overnight for observation", but what they really want to do is probe your ass when you fall asleep. Or you could just put the white thing back, use some duct tape to stop the bleeding and take some ibuprofen!

its pretty obvious that some fairly advanced coders created the universe...we are all NPCs in an MMO.

and Gobb, I shall call you Rupert Grint.

Sporty, those 'funny colors' you tend to get on your hands aren't from M&M's...they're from Richard Simmons.

Technically, anyone reading this is a PC, it's everyone else who's an NPC. No, really. Can you prove otherwise?

I'd rather you didn't, he's a very unattractive ranga. But whatever floats your boat I guess.

AND in reference to the rammalammadingdong question, i believe he is almost, but not entirely unlike the man who put the bop in the bop shoowop shoowop.

Heh, he already does - he's just not allowed in chat.

Having said that... that's hardly the worst example I've seen, in chat or in the game itself.

Q: Why does DrWolf always come back to lame ass Richard Simmons jokes...does he secretly want to be with Richard?

Q2: Why is a "new york minute" considered different then a regular minute...how the hell did new yorkers get their own meanings of time?

actually, A2: a new york minute is just a few seconds...the idea is that new yorkers are in such a hurry that every few seconds they can get as much done as the rest of us can in a minute. Personally, I've always thought of the city as 300 thousand people who are in a daft bloody hurry to get absolutely effing nowhere they havent been before.

as far as the first one, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTxkxG3DF4k

and gobb, life isn't an orange...it's a stage, and we are all roses of different names (meaning we're all basically the same...and i know i mixed plays.)

I cast my vote for this thread to not be called not-so-frequently asked questions and changed to Dear jimmy lol

I know that's not a question, I mean I could turn it into a question but I've only been out of bed for 5 minutes and the coffee hasn't even't brewed yet.

Dear anonymous,

it could be that dr. imlittle was accidentally channeling the spirit of michael jackson...was his voice very high and totally fake? did he wear a single white glove? this is common, and you shouldnt worry about your friend's health.

A: Despite popular belief, brussels sprouts, like the pickles in a McDonald's cheeseburger, are actually amazingly good. They're like miniature cabbages and taste fantastic provided they're not overcooked to the point of sliminess. Personally, I like them steamed (not boiled) to the point where they have just a liiiiitle bit of crunch left and then served with a little sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil for maximum yumminess.

A: Because it's 'hip' to spell words that typically use 'I's with 'Y's instead...for instance, 'Synyster Gates', one of the guitarists from Avenged Sevenfold. NBC is trying to jump on the bandwagon before it stops being so groovy.

I'm gonna let Jimmy field Lord Cretin's question 'cause, wow, I've got no answer, I just had to comment on this:

Jimmy wrote:

You realize there are 8.4 million people in NYC right? 300k people is the size of Riverside, California. Never heard of it? Not enough people.
