Nerdfighters are made of awesome, and USE all their awesome to decrease World-Suck in whatever area they happen to reside. The slogan is DFTBA (Don't Forget To Be Awesome) and it's all the fault of John and Hank Green.

YA Fiction writer John Green and his brother, eco-geek/musician Hank Green spent a year communicating almost exclusively through daily videos on YouTube.

From this project spawned the Nerdfighters, a group of self-proclaimed nerds who band together on awesome projects to decrease worldsuck, through spreading awareness of causes and issues, and various means of fundraising.
