The selected player has chosen not to display this subject.

Got a suggestion as to how we can improve the game? Post it here!

The selected player has chosen not to display this subject.

When viewing a profile, would it be better to entirely omit a section a player has chosen not to display? For players who choose not to display anything, it just makes their profile look... well, horrid. I think if you're viewing a profile and you don't see a section on their weapon proficiencies, you could safely assume that they chose not to display them without needing to actually make a note of it.

You'd think so, but apparently not. When I tried that a while back, I got bug reports to tell me X's profile was "broken" because a section was missing. Go figure.

Okay, well try these pants on for size (or at least just look at them if you prefer not to wear pants). This is most definitely a post-beta project, but how about at the far right end of the header for each section, you have a button that expands/collapses said section (This system could also be used for the inventory pages as well). If a person has chosen to not display a particular section, just have the button shaded/grayed out or change the button text to "Hidden." This could also bring about new account options:
[ ] Load player profiles with sections collapsed (default not collapsed)
[ ] Load inventory pages with sections collapsed (default not collapsed)
[ ] Send jupider 10,000 moolah when you log in (default when you log out)

Whaddayathink?

How about this: at the end of the profile, if they have hidden anything, then say "This player has decided not to show their equipment, awards, and stickers." (Or whatever they choose not to show)

Do you mean like the system we *currently* use for the inventory pages?

Your humor is mildly amusing at best and deserves a chuckle.

I didn't get it.
