Council-Esque Function

We've had Professor von Noob hand out the opening tutorial, but as for the actual quests so far, they seem to be a bit vague. With 50 turns a day that's enough to scratch the surface of the places, but for beginning players, trying to work out what to do and not get beaten up could be quite frustrating. I know you don't like holding the player's hand, but a few general pointers (especially for more obscure quests later on), and a council-type place to receive them would be handy. It'd also pave the wave for lots of jokes, optional sidequests and stuff.

Yep, things will become clearer. There's only two quests at the moment, but once we roll out a couple more, you'll see what I mean :)
