Narrative way to Reset (SPOILER ALERT!)

Unread post by jupider » Sat Jan 03, 2009 9:17 am

Ok, I came up with a creative way to do the reset. After defeating Legion, a new combat is available in the Gymnasium: a completely different sparring partner. This one drops equipment to give you a Sparring Partner outfit. Keep fighting him until you have all the parts, equip them, and continue until you fight another combat encounter: Noob. But fighting him creates a rip in the time-space continuum, and you switch places. Making you the Noob fighting a sparring partner!! Genius!! Boom! Back at the beginning of the game!

(/me waits for applause.)

Edit: And of course, since you're back at the beginning of the game, you can't beat the sparring partner, so you'll need to wait until your strong enough to defeat him and get all your stuff back!! Devious!

Pretty good. I'm not sure what Gobb will think though.

Not really looking for a narratively plausible way to reset at the moment, since that will come naturally as the storyline progresses, which is a shame because it's a pretty neat idea really :)

Whether you use my ideas or not, I'm happy that you take the time to consider them and respond. Thanks, Gobb!
