Something I just thought of concerning logging on: It already gives you some important information, mainly pMails & Trades that are awaiting your attention, as well as any updates since you're last logoff. But how about store activity? Maybe a little message that doesn't necessarily need to tell you what or how much was sold, but just a little line indicating that something has been purchased?

Here's how it could look in your account options screen:

[ ] Notify me at logon when anything has been purchased from my store
[ ] Notify me every time something is purchased from my store (while logged on)
[ ] Do not notify me when minimum-priced items are purchased from my store

The last option would be checked if you had, say, Artery Hardeners at minimum price because you're such an awesome person and you don't want the game to tell you every single time someone buys one.

I think this is a good idea, but at a later time in the game.

Ok, a little bit about how notifications work:

When something happens that's worth notifying you about, a notification message is recorded in the database. If you're in chat, the chat system will grab it and display it immediately. If not, it will be displayed the next time you go to either your player overview page or main map, IF you have selected the option "Show Alerts."

What does that mean? Well, it means the first two options in your suggestion can be combined into a single option - "Notify me when something is purchased from my store."

The third option is obviously a corollary to the first two, ie. 'Notify me when... but not when it's minimum priced." I'm not entirely sure about that one I mean, I agree that you probably don't want to be notified about every little purchase, especially if you're the kind of person who has min-moolah sales. Fair enough, but is that sufficient? What if I only want to be notified when someone buys something worth more than 10,000 moolah, or when a specific item is purchased, etc.?

In the short term, that's probably good enough and I'll put it on the list of things to do in v0.4. In the meantime, if anyone has further thoughts, please share.

Since I was in there playing with account options anyway, I've added two new ones:

1. Notify On Purchase (On by default)
2. Notify On Purchase of Minimum-Priced Items (Off by default, only has meaning if 1. is On)

Just threw some min-priced AHs into my store as a test. Get 'em while they're 'ot, they're lovely!

Okay, how about

[ ] Notify me if items over [XXXXX] moolah are purchased from my store.

Only one checkbox with a textbox in the middle.

Well?

Yep, that's what I was thinking, but only IF people want it. No point overcomplicating it until there's an actual need.

I think this kind of thing is sort of moot until there's a more active economy in-game, but on the other hand, its the kind of thing that may help people get interested in creating said in-game economy. I don't know much about economics, but I know I'd like to see that aspect of the game grow, and if this is the sort of thing that would help that, my opinion leans toward doing it...without attaching to it too much priority.

But that's just me.

Just digging through old topics and thought I'd add another possible option to this situation. On the Manage Store screen when adding/removing items and setting prices, etc., have a check box to make that particular item an "interesting" item, meaning if that particular item is sold, a notification is sent to you.
