Re: Aussie Pride!
Well, the time has come to announce the winners, so here goes.
First of all, thanks to those who entered. Just by entering, you will shortly be receiving an Aussie Pride sticker, which you can display in your profile for all to see. Or not, whatever works. If you just never happen to get around to displaying it - well, that's pretty Aussie and totally OK. I'm also sending 50k Moolah to all entrants who didn't win a prize.
I'll get to the prizes in a minute, but before I do, I've decided to make this a semi-permanent thing. No "prizes" as such will be available, but I will give an Aussie Pride sticker to any player who sends me an email with correct answers to the trivia questions and either a photo or song (or both) as per the original contest rules. Just because.
So, on to the entries themselves. Well, I'm sorry to say that nobody, in my opinion, truly managed to capture the true Aussie spirit. Although, being lazy is quite Australian so maybe that was the point.
1ST PRIZE - STROBY: Well, since Stroby managed to submit both a photo AND a song, answered all the questions correctly AND got in first, well that's first prize, right there!
2ND PRIZE - ELUSIS: Despite trying to confuse me by sending in his entry without telling me his player name, Elusis made a lovely drawing in MS Paint which any parent would be proud to hang on their refrigerator. He also managed to include an unintentional "Flame Tree" reference, so gets bonus points (and second prize) for that.
3RD PRIZE - IMPALIX: This was a tough one, and came down to a choice between Impy's bathmat and McFeisty's Kangaroo tattoo. The decision came down to one very simple thing... McFeisty said the Australian Prime Minister was John Key, who is in fact the Prime Minister of New Zealand which is... well, a different country. No, really.
DISHONOURABLE MENTION - RIGHT2WRONG2000: R2, covering your nads with a pumpkin isn't typical Aussie behaviour my friend. Definitely points for effort and humour though, and I'm EXTREMELY pleased to pass the pumpkin-shagging mantle over to you. Effectively immediately, everyone please point and laugh at R2 for his vegephiliac ways. Oh, wait; a pumpkin's a fruit isn't it? Fruitophiliac.
Well, that's it, thanks everyone for playing and congrats to the winners! I'll send out the prizes shortly.

This thread isn't for "conversation". It's dead. Let it rest in peace unless you've got something relevant to add.
Nice job on the song though Stroby
