Identify the University
I tried running this in chat but nobody managed to find the answer, so here goes...
The image of Paradox University on the main map is a photograph of a building that exists in real life. Unfortunately, I can't for the life of me remember which building it is and it's driving me mad. Ok, madder. Anyway...
I'm offering a prize of 200,000 moolah to the first person who can pmail me to tell me which building it is. It's really that simple. If you know the building, or you can find it somewhere, let me know and I'll give you moolah. Yay!
Oh, I need to be able to verify that the building is what you say it is, so a link to a photograph on the interweb would be handy.
Contest has no end date, but the sooner the better so I can stop worrying about it.

Re: Identify the University
I would like to apologize for worrying Gobb. It was me who asked the question in the first place, and he has been confused ever since...

Re: Identify the University
The funny thing is, it took me about 5 minutes to find the original image so... I dunno. My google-fu is weak. Anyway, the prize offer stands. Someone find it!
It's definitely not Oxford or Glasgow University.

Re: Identify the University
I was pretty sure those were palm trees on the left, and I don't really recall the UK being warm enough for palm trees.
Also in the pic you linked, you can clearly see a black sloped roof behind the tower. The PU image has a tan/brick colored roof. I don't believe it's the same one. If you can find a better picture then mayybe, but those really look like palm leaves to me on the left, and the tower looks like it extends at least 4 stories above the PU building, where the image you show only extends the tower 2 floors.

Re: Identify the University
Jimmy, the tower on PU doesn't have all those fancy statues on it, the configuration of the roof is very different and, well I'll know the name when someone says it and that's definitely not it.

Re: Identify the University
I looked on google for over a hour a few days ago...i was able to cross the university I had gone to off the list pre-google...but that was only one...after looking at hundreds, perhaps thousands of images later I still gained no ground. Epic phail.

This is irritating.

Yes, it really is. Seriously, it took me about 5 minutes to find the original but... well, I have no idea. I'm upping the prize to... a token of appreciation. It's making me that crazy. Go!

Re: Identify the University
Haha yess Finally Gobb can stop pulling out what little hair he has left. I'm only sad that I couldn't find it in the 24+ cumulative hours I spent searching. I tried tineye.com and a few other reverse image searches but they all came up empty

Re: Identify the University
Hahaha, I live in Melbourne and, now that I think about it, I've probably even been there. I used to spend a lot of time hanging around with my mates at Melbourne Uni, investigating the local drinking establishments. I was almost certain it was somewhere in the US. Oh well, good job Remma. Token on its way shortly!
Oh, and nice find on that image search page! Just upload the image, hit search and BAM! there it is. I'm going to have to remember that one.

Re: Identify the University
Glad to help =)
I realised that I made it sound MUCH easier than it actually was lol, I was on a couple of hours till I stumbled across that site. You know how it is when something starts to bug you and you just can't let it go? (specially when yer bored!)
Oh and Google's 'find similar images' needs a little work, seriously Britney and a clock tower?

Re: Identify the University
Haha yeah. after an hour of googling and not finding anything, I did a search for reverse image lookup. Found quite a few sites that claimed to work, but didn't. Never came across that site though. Odd.
