After a recent influx of spam-type user accounts (I just deleted nearly 100 of them) I've taken the decision to update the forum software to a new version, and will shortly be installing a new system that will make it harder for spambots to sign up.

Fortunately, our installation of PHPBB is fairly simple with only a couple of minor modifications, so I don't expect any problems, but if you notice anything weird, please let me know.

I've installed the "new system" which should make it a LOT harder for spambots to sign up fake accounts. Again, let me know if there are any problems.
