The mouseover on Dielsel Smart medal says "Diesel Smrt"
Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
That's a joke. Not a typo. (Simpsons, Homer says "I am so smart, S-M-R-T... wait. S-M-A-R-T"

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
Oh, haha, you're right! That mis-spelling kept coming to my mind, but I couldn't quite put my finger on where it's from, so I assumed it was just me
Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
It's okay round...you're still smrt.
Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
From one of the Master Miner's miss messages:
He raises his hand and appears to try to crush your wind pipe using some kind invisible force...
That should be "some kind OF invisible force". Also, "windpipe" is one word (at least according to my dictionary).

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
Maybe it actually just needs a comma after "kind"?

I've met a few invisible forces in my lifetime, and most were pretty friendly. So I think jupider is right.

LOL, no Fizzbin's right. On both counts. Fixed.

I just noticed this.
When saving a custom outfit:
"Outfit "_____" saved succesfully."
Aussies don't drop the third S for some reason, do they? S/B successfully.

Heh, ooops. That's only been there for... oh, two years or so. I'll fix it asap. Can't do it from work but will do it tonight when I get home.McFeisty wrote:I just noticed this.

When you're Level 7 and you go to the Department of Questionable Sciences, you get a big block of text that includes the following:
The doors have signs on them, indicating that they're laboratories for different branches of unpronouncable, and probably questionable, science.
I looked up "pronounce" in my dictionary and found one of the related words is "pronounceable", not "pronouncable".

It's supposed to be different branches of something that isn't pronoun cable. Gobb just forgot the space.
Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
On the "Inventory (Consumables)" page, the oinTPment is listed as "ointpment" instead of of its proper capitalized version.
(EDIT: Also in the Pharmacologicopaediatorium. Is this a permanent change?)

From the Killer Queen Ant intro text:
Its very dark, but you find yourself walking...
That should be 'it's' instead of 'its'.
EDIT: Also, from one of the Killer Queen Ant's miss messages:
Good thing you moved or that would have been your nose
The period is missing from the end of that sentence.

Apparently, I've been employing imbeciles to proofread this stuff. Oh wait... That was probably me. It'll be fixed in the beta release.

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
Except the ointpment... You sure it ever DID have capitalised TP in the middle? I'm not convinced those are the droids you're looking for.
Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
You're right, Gobb. These aren't the droids I'm looking for. I'm apparently getting my ointpments and smrTPills mixed up, which could prove quite interesting in real life. Move along. Move along.

Senora Shiver effect in battle...
A dishevelled, creepy-looking, vaguely corpse-ish guy in a black-and-white-striped suit appears out of nowhere and, with a flourish, proclaims it to be SHOWTIME! He throws his cigarette to one side, then kisses your your opponents on the cheek and says, "Not so fast buddy! We're going to have some laughs." This thoroughly perplexes your opponents and prevents opponents attacking you this round.
Your is repeated twice.
Also, "perplexes your opponents and prevents opponents attacking you this round", should probably be "perplexes your opponents and prevents your opponents from attacking you this round."

1. Yes, you're right.
2. No, it should be "perplexes your opponents and prevents them from attacking you this round."
And it will be, in a minute or two, once I've recovered from today's server crash debacle.

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
Fixed, along with a few other typos in the same place. I need to talk to my proofreaders.
Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
"Talk to"? Don't you mean "fire"? Or at least "glare at"?

Should the "Senora Shakes" effect in fact be "Señora Shakes"? (with the tilde?)

I don't think so, nothing I've seen chat related or otherwise using Senora has had it. It has been Americanized.

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
In this case, I don't think so jupe. The specific reference pronounces the word as "senora", not "señora" (it's a "nor" sound not a "nyor" sound) so the tilde's unnecessary.
I'm probably wrong, though. I usually am

Cheese Cutter Description.
"I'd be careful with it if I were you though; you might have someone's eye out."
Not sure personally if that is the way it is suppose to be, should it be Cut instead of Have?
Cold Chisel Description.
I wouldn't reccommend licking it.
Too many C's

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
Either way makes sense (in the cheese cutter one) but the "have" is a strange way of speaking. I don't know if that's what Gobb intended.

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
"You might have someone's eye out" is an *EXTREMELY* common phrase, referring to the result of playing with sharp objects. Well, it is here, anyway. Chalk it up to more Aussie/Brit weirdness
But yes, there are 100% too many C's in the cold chisel description. I'll fix that.

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
US expression is "put someone's eye out", I can well imagine "have" in place of "put" for some speakers.

2 special cookie (pmail)
You gain 17 special cookie. (combining)
I have to ask, is the plural intentional or a typo? As dark pointed out, it could be a play on the fact that you are too high to focus on the others.

I'll never tell.
Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
From one of the combat messages from the Guy in a Wabbit Suit:
Your opponent tells you the world is ending and you take 8 DAMAGE trying to get to a different world.!
It looks like there's superfluous terminal punctuation there.

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
Have you ever seen the movie that combat is based on? I don't think there's anything superfluous about that terminal punctuation.

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
I fixed it in an alternate timeline.
Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure I saw the text "You gain 1 sticks of butter" as I clicked through my turns.
Also, in Junkyard - Raccoon:
"He swipes at you with his claws but his depth perception seems to be off and he misses by several inches"
Missing . at the end

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
That's really really really really unlikely, given the way the game works, ie. if multiplier = 1 display singular name, else display plural name. There's no reason why sticks of butter should be any different. Since you're not even sure you saw it, I'm not even going to start this particular wild goose chase. If you see it again, take a screen shot.Cowboy wrote:I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure I saw the text "You gain 1 sticks of butter" as I clicked through my turns.

Both fixed in dev, and will be fixed in the next update to prod.Cowboy wrote:"It makes faces, scaring several kinds of crap out of you and doing 16 DAMAGE at the same time.!"

Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
The item is called red herrings.jupider wrote:"You gain 1 red herrings."
Re: Typos - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!
I understand the item itself exemplifies more than one individual red herring, but "1 red herrings" just doesn't sound grammatically correct. Shouldn't it be quantified? Like, "1 can of red herrings," "1 group of red herrings," or "1 school of red herrings"?

This is not the grammatical error you're looking for.
