Re: Introduce Yourself
So you want me to introduce myself? No? Oh, well too late, I'm doing it anyways.
I am some combination of a new player and a not so new player. When my account was created, I had to email ol' Gobberwart and he made my account, none of this fancy new age "registration" stuff. I have the second lowest non-special PID (#1009) and it seems the lowest (#1007) isn't the most active of players. My account is very recently 2 years old, as in, like, 3 days ago. After being gone for some time (sometime around Christmas 2007?) I have recently returned because Grokly was stirring up trouble in KoL. (No offense Gobbs, but I didn't think it would last)
I know Gobb, Ell, Grok, Art, etc from KoL, and the amazing STC. My KoL account will be 5 years old in a few days. Hard to believe its been 5 years... what a waste... er...
I can be a curmudgeon, I like things the way they used to be, change is not my friend. I am painfully blunt sometimes, occasionally people view that as me being a jerk or other unsavory words, but its how I am. Bitter and angsty are also words commonly associated with me.
I play pen and paper RPGs, collectible card games, board games, party games, card games. I work (well, its more of a compensated volunteering gig) a local game store, managing the vending machine and running logistics for major tournaments. I get paid to much for what I do, but it isn't exactly enough to live happily. Until very recently I played WoW, but between not being able to afford it, and not having a very good computer, I have retired for the time being. I enjoy reading, generally fantasy, and textbooks.
I love me some Captain Morgan, and I'm pretty good friends with Mr. J. Daniel as well.
Er, stuff. And things. And other stuff.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Howdy!
March will be my one-year anniversary here. 'Tis a lovely game!
I'm a Texan but live in Florida doing civil engineering-y things.
The age in my profile is 200% accurate.
I'm Schmurrr (who is a lady) in Secret Society Wars and VioletRay in KoL.

I'm Arikel. or you can call me Ari. if you want. or don't.
I DJ on the RFX and play games... like this one. SSW cats will know me as me... I very occasionally but not very often grace KOL with my presence as Arapazia.

hi i'm herbalisk, i moved from US to Australia because the government wanted to torture me and steal my secrets. I'm about to kill myself by inhaling dry-erase markers nonstop for the next 6 weeks, after which i might be able to do something more here than farm prize tickets and eat mushrooms. mmm mushrooms. Being a teacher is great. I live in Adelaide, this is my first australian summer. does it get hot? It's weird that they call Walmart "Big W" here and Big K is "K-mart". And what's up with marinara sauce?
I cook a lot and play tennis. Not at the same time. I'm learning to play guitar. I'm up to the 4th string. see you all in a few weeks if i survive this intensive summer course. See you sooner if i don't survive, as i'll have a lot more time on my hands.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Thanks for the welcome, both to the game and to Australia. The seafood in the marinara sauce was surprising but tasty indeed!
Re: Introduce Yourself
Oh, I forgot to introduce myself.
I am currently living in Hawaii, but I will soon move back to the US mainland.
My hobbies include beer and gin-and-tonics.
I've visited Perth, Brisbane, and Hobart on business. I loved Australia. Plenty of friendly people and beer.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Heya. As some of you may know I was around some last year until about January. Then I disappeared (just like magic!). I think that schoolwork at me up and so these online browser turns-per-day game were not on the top of my list of things to do (that's not to say I didn't play games, cause... well... I still did). However, last week, I suddenly decided to go back to KoL. From there, I was reminded of a different browser game I played, which in turn reminded me of this one. Since the other one's account is deleted, it doesn't have a chance of me returning to it without making a new character, but PtM is still here and awesome, so I decided to be back. And well, now I'm back. I noticed I never introduced myself here, so here we go.
I am Maeglin or in some places Maeglin the Ninth or in a few places SuperGreenNoki. I'm a high school student in the states, specifically Pennsylvania. Gonna be a senior this year. Planning on majoring in Computer Programming or Software Engineering (basically the exact same thing). Also considering a minor in Writing while I'm there (wherever there may be).
In my spare time, I often play games such as TF2 (just got into that recently since I got the Orange Box for my birthday back in May) and a lot of Nintendo. Also in my spare time, I think about how I should be reading Crime and Punishment for summer reading.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello everyone, I'm Roundchild - a name I got from bastard-translation of my real name into Japanese (cookie if you can guess what it is). I kept it because it quite well describes my shape and sense of humor
Other than that, I'm from eastern Europe - won't bother you with details there. Heck, I wouldn't even bother myself with a more detailed description of my location.
I also play That Other BBG, under same name.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Welcome Roundchild. You seem like a nice player, glad to have you here
Re: Introduce Yourself
Roundchild, Welcome to the game. I'd make some Romanian joke about eastern Europe but i'll save it. I'm guessing your name is Marco or Marko by the way.
Re: Introduce Yourself
My guess was Hercules, but welcome by any name

Re: Introduce Yourself
Ragazi here and as it would seem I am another player from KoL that has migrated here. I love to write and am struggling to get published. I have been turned on to Paradox by sallyfox, in a roundabout way. I hope to meet as many as you as I can.
Also I am chocked full of ideas for this game and I have been only playing it for two weeks. So my main goal is to try and improve the game as much as I can by flooding these boards with ideas, maybe even join the dev team.

Howdy Ragazi, welcome to the game!
Feel free to contact me to discuss any ideas you have. Email's probably best - Sallyfox will be able to hook you up with my email address (although you can probably guess it).

Re: Introduce Yourself
I am a very enduring person as I do not easily give in. I would be more active here but I have unfortunately split my efforts between here and "that other game" for xmas/crimbo. Once the season is over though I will be more here than there and I look forward to it.

Hello Paracites!
I am LordCretin, Commander of Vegetables. LordCretin is giddy with excitement, at the thought of getting to know what the residents of Paradox allow to develop around the outskirts of their sheds.
My hobby is exploring compost heaps.

Hmm... your piles are exhilarating...
a delightfully complex explosion of odiferous prowess and bulging grapes, bursting in a broken prism of kaleidoscopic brutal browns and blinding reds.
